Judith Schwartz, M.A.

Judith Schwartz has her B.A. in Social Science Field Major from U.C. Berkeley , and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Holistic Studies from Antioch University. She is certified to teach the Enneagram by Helen Palmer and Associates, and is a Certified Instructor in T'ai Chi Chih.

She is an Ordained Minister in the Association for the Integration of the Whole Person, licensed to do Spiritual Body/Mind Therapy.

She is trained to do Guided Self Healing, which is using Muscle Testing and Applied Kinesiology, combined with knowledge of the Enneagram, in resolving trauma.

Judith has had a Private Counseling Practice in Berkeley for 25 years, utilizing Gestalt therapy, Dream work, Cognitive Therapy, the Enneagram, and Breathe Work. She works with individuals, couples, groups, and organizations.

She has been teaching T'ai Chi Chih for 14 years, privately, in her back yard, in students' homes, and Kaiser Hospital.

She has a deep, experiential understanding of addiction, assisting numerous people in their recovery for the last 23 years.

Judith has studied and researched many spiritual and psychological paths. From having traveled to Israel with a Jewish youth group, as a teenager, praying, studying and visiting Biblical sites; to residing in the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry and the Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram in Tiruvanamalai, India, in her early twenties; to visiting a Sufi spiritual community, in Ndem, Senegal, Africa, in more recent years.

She has taught and practiced prenatal Yoga.

She explored Rastafarianism in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 70's , and sang with an anti-apartheid South African Freedom Song Choir, Vukani Mawethu, People Arise, for eight years, in the 80's and early 90's.

Judith has led workshops in writing and self-expression, has had articles published in her professional journals, as well as TOTAL HEALTH magazine. She has held the position of co-editor for Quest, the newsletter for the Spirituality Track of the Association of Enneagram Teachers in the Oral Tradition.

Judith's own life has been a unique constellation of many life experiences and studies. It is with this orientation that she approaches her clients, working with them in tying together the richness of their own lives, assisting them to integrate and evolve from their present circumstances through continuing self-awareness.

Attention paid to the balance of spiritual, body, mind, and heart is Judith's signature holistic approach.
